EMC Legato NetWorker 7.6.2
Administration

DESCRIPTION

This course includes topics such as creating a probe-based group, configuring a cloning schedule, performing a directed recovery of save sets, configuring checkpoint restarts, and the client configuration wizard. There is also a chapter on using the Software Administration wizard and nsrpush to automatically upgrade NetWorker hosts to a newer release. This class is applicable for people using NetWorker 7.4 thru 7.6.3. NetWorker 7.6.1 or 7.6.2 can be used during labs.

This course was written by Rick Brode, who also wrote EMC's NetWorker 7.3 [TM] Administration course when he worked at EMC. The content of BTC's (Brode Training and Consulting) and EMC's courses is identical as far as topics covered. The course is approximately 50% lecture and 50% lab.

This course covers installing, configuring, and managing NetWorker in either a UNIX or Windows environment. For the lab environment, each student has both a Sun Solaris workstation and a Windows workstation, as well as a tape library.

COST

This class is taught on a regular basis. View the schedule to see the cost and when and where it is being taught next.

BTC can also deliver the course at your site for as little as $4900 (for one person) to a maximum of $7900 (for 4 or more persons), plus instructor travel expenses.

SEMI-CUSTOM TRAINING

Each class can also be customized in content and length. For example, we could also condense the course into a 2-3 day class equivalent to "Operations Training" for your employees who may be responsible only for day-to-day operations and monitoring, but not installing or configuring the NetWorker software.
